Hi Tygra89,

I didn't catch it earlier, but is the information in that second CAT score correct? I ask because a Q44/V35 would NOT be a 690 on the Official GMAT (it would be closer to a 650). So something is off with the Scaled Scores and/or something is off with the Overall Score.

Points can be won and lost rather easily on the GMAT. Remember that there are only 78 total questions (and a number of those are 'experimental' - meaning that they don't count). If there were 8 questions that you SHOULD have gotten correct (but didn't), then that could potentially be 100 points that you let slip away. Thus, the big question now is... "what work are you willing to do to make sure that you don't miss those types of questions in the future?" What notes will you take? What work will you do "on the pad" (and NOT 'in your head')? The GMAT is really good at giving you the score that you EARN, so you have to think in terms of what you must do to earn those points.

You are right, I have now edited the scores of the CATs mentioned above to reflect the correct scores.

I thoroughly checked all the assessment reports and information given by the MGMAT CATs I did and am using this info to work on the weak areas that are also the most common GMAT questions.

See below the assessment summary of the 4 CATs:

Hi Tygra89,

You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn't provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong (and what you should work on). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Hi all,

Quick update, I did a 720 on GMAT prep last Saturday (Q47V42) and took the official GMAT yesterday: 710, Q46V41 IR8.

Can someone tell me if this quant score is high enough for INSEAD ? Many thanks !

It's in the range but whether it's a great score or not depends on other aspects of your application. 720 for someone with 5+ years of work experience is great but a 760 for someone with 2 years might be the equivalency (I'm obviously exaggerating here but you get the gist).

Hi all,

I passed the GMAT in March 2017, 660 Q43V38. One week before taking the test I scored 680 on GMAT Prep (Q42V40).

I then took a 1 month break and then started studying again, while taking some Manhattan CATs:

CAT EXAM #1 Completed 04/15/2017 Score: 650 (Q42V37)
CAT EXAM #2 Completed 04/29/2017 Score: 690 (Q46V38)
CAT EXAM #3 Completed 05/14/2017 Score: 650 (Q44V35)
CAT EXAM #4 Completed 05/21/2017 Score: 650 (Q42V37)

I was excited about that 690 but now CAT 3 and 4 are lower scores again :(

I booked another test date for Monday 29th May 2017, and I really hope I will get at least 690-700 as I need this score to apply to the MBA programmes I am targetting.

Does anyone has any advice or tips on what I can do to improve ? I have a non-quant background (I am a corporate/finance lawyer) and non native English speaker, living in Belgium.

Many thanks

Hi

You Better do practice more and more and of 650-750 level question
also maintain a complete log of your mistakes, know where you are performing low and why?
then again do practice of your mistakes areas

Take full lenght CATs, know your estimated score
Analyze the result with Correct/incorrect questions, pacing analysis
trace your mistakes and learn from them, make an error log to know
your mistakes in the previously attempted questions

Best CATs

1. Official GMAC (50+50$)
2. Manhattan GMAT (49$)
3. GMAT Club Quant CATs (80$)
4. Veritas CATs (49$ but you can buy at 15-20$ During sale period)

above Mock exams are as important as ranked

Good Luck
Cheers :)
