I think someone had a question about their recommender not submitting yet - but I can't find the post. But fear not! One of my recommenders didn't submit his reco until about an hour ago, and my app is complete! So don't fret, they have until midnight tonight to get it in :)

Sorry, that was me! It was actually for Kellogg, I accidentally put it in the wrong thread!

...and of course, he hasn't submitted this one yet either. But he assures me he'll get it done tonight...

I'm going to put the information in twice for my two positions. I have no confirmation as to which way they prefer, but I'm sure either way is fine as long as your career path is clear.

Guys,

I needed answers to some of these questions:

Firstly, Under the Education section, there is a requirement stating:
"Please list grades for all college level quantitative courses you have taken in the following subjects: The list consists of Calculus, Statistics, Finance, Accounting and Economics

(Be certain to provide transcripts in the section above for all courses referenced here.)"

Do I need to fill in this section if I have an undergraduate degree and have submitted my transcripts. I wasn't sure if this applies to applicants with or without a Bachelors Degree. If it does apply to applicants with a Bachelors degree, How should I report the grade? Since I'm a Finance and Accounting major, I have had to take several courses in Finance, Accounting and Economics and there's only a limited amount of information I can enter in the text box provided.

Secondly, I just wanted to confirm that I would need to enter my company name twice if I have switched departments, and twice if I have received a promotion.

Lastly, what kind of awards and recognition qualify to be put in here? The company I work for gave me a certificate for helping them their volunteer initiatives and i have some trophies I won at some speech club.

Thanks!

Hi All,

Can some one please help on the second point? Do we need to enter the company details twice/multiple times for every position? No of promotions question makes me wonder whether its required.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!

I would have to enter it 5 times! But, anyhow doesn't really matter now!!

Anybody know if Duke gives any sort of grace period for recommendation letters? My final rec will be submitted later today so I'm hoping I might still be in round 1.

It sounds like most schools will give a few days grace period for recommenders. One school explicitly states you'll miss the deadline if recs aren't in (stanford, maybe?), but I haven't heard that anywhere else.

Kellogg doesn't allow for late recs, as I found out.

I'm in the same boat on this one too...I would think Fuqua is understanding about this but we'll find out!

I think I need to find a different recommender...

I contacted the admissions office, this is the answer I got:

"Please advise [name redacted] to submit your recommendation letter as soon as possible. There is no grace period, but it will take us some time to process all of the applications we received yesterday. If he submits your letter today, there is a very high chance we will not have gotten to your application yet, and there will not be any problem."

I was wondering the same thing. but my guess is that the WL and rejects you are seeing are for people who didn't get an interview invite. The Fuqua Website says that the decision for EA will be 10/30/2013

Under the SISS, I see the "Fuqua MBA Approved" under my GMAT test scores. However, the percentiles (specifically quant) are off compared to the report I have for my GMAT. I know percentiles fluctuate based on test date, but I thought those percentiles would be "locked in" for each test. Does GMAC continually update the percentile rankings for past tests? Hope I'm clear haha.

Yeah, GMAC updated the percentiles this summer (or maybe early fall), so these are the new numbers for all tests, even if the percentiles were different when you actually took the test.

Yup, looking at last years thread, it seems everyone is notified through the website on October 30th around 3:00 PM EST give or take.

Thanks for the info. Hope it doesn't look bad that I self reported a different percentile. Sucks that it went down!

the percentile you reported should be on the unofficial grade report that you may have attached.
