It looks like it fits the size specs. So it should and I believe it does. As long as you find it comfortable using it.

Why not get something cheaper potentially?

Totally agree. I had pivoted to the GRE. I guess there's no turning back now

Hi everyone.

The conversion from inches to cm don't seem right.

Whiteboard Requirements:

1 erasable whiteboard no larger than 12 inches x 20 inches (30 centimeters x 43 centimeters)
1 dry erase marker
1 dry marker eraser

12 inches x 20 inches = 30.48cm x 50.8cm

I've just purchased a whiteboard meeting GMAC requirement in terms of inches. I am not sure whether I am allowed to use the Whiteboard that I've just purchased for GMAT online exam now =S

They have corrected the error in the FAQ Section.

Very ironic that they made a conversion error. Proves nobody is perfect ?

Wish they would have more leniency towards the test takers when they make mistakes in registration/etc.

Hi Everyone,

I am having a white board with above mentioned specifications. However, the other side of the board is green in color for using chalk. So, will I be allowed to use that board. Considering, I'll be using the white board side only.

I think it is totally fine. Many whiteboards are double sided and have another writable surface on the back.

However if you want some extra points on the test you can get a picture of Pamela Anderson or James Bond (depending on the gender of your proctor) and glue it to the back of your whiteboard so the proctor has something to look at for 2.5 hrs.

hey bb
is it ok to use a double sided whiteboard with writable surface on both sides of the specified dimensions. as per rules mentioned we have to show the proctor a clean board before the exam starts, before and after the optional break and at the end of exam. so accordingly cant we show both sides to the proctor and use both the sides as it will save the erasing time significantly between questions?

The MGMAT booklet comes with many pages. If you are allowed to take the GMAT with the laminated sheet (which I believe would be OK, though Souvik who is taking his GMAT with a whiteboard thinks would not be OK because it has a grid). Anyway, you would not be able to use the booklet and will have to rip one page out, if allowed to use a laminated sheet.

I asked Souvik to inquire with the proctor, but not sure he succeeded at that.

Thanks a lot for the information. Could you please share some links of the kind of whiteboard that may be allowed (size specifications) or what generally people are purchasing?. I am from India and can buy it from Amazon
