IMO A

original rent per person with 10 roommates = \(\frac{R}{10}\)
new rent per person after x people moved out = \(\frac{R}{(10-X)}\)
additional rent per person for the remaining people
= \(\frac{R}{10-X} - \frac{R}{10}\)
= \(R * (\frac{10 - (10-X)}{10*(10-X)})\)
= \(\frac{R* X}{10 (10-X)}\)

Given, each tenant has to pay= R/10 dollars

loss due to movement of x roommates= R*X/10 that has to divide among rest of roommates

Additional payment required= R*X/{10*(10-X)}

So, I think A. :)

Apartment’s monthly rent is R dollars
R/10 is the value that each roommate pays for the rent
If X roommates move out then (X*R)/10 will be the amount left to be paid which will be divided equally in rest of the roommates which is 10-X
So the additional rent will (R*X)/10(10-X)
The answer will be A
