Given Total no of Balloons are 40

Of which, # Blue = 12 (30% of 40) and # Yellow = 28

# Stringed Balloons = 7 (1/4 of 28) ; So # the balloons with no strings = 21

total = 40
red = 0.3 * 40 = 12
yellow = 0.7 * 40 = 28
1/4 * yellow = 7 (yellow with strings)
yellow without strings = 28 - 7 = 21

The answer is E

The total number of balloons are 40,

Therefore the total number of yellow balloons = 40*(70/100 = 28

1/4th of the yellow balloons have strings i.e. 28/4 = 7

Therefore, the number of yellow balloons do not have strings = 28-7 = 21

Total no. of Balloons = 40
30% of 40 are red balloons = 12
So the total number of yellow balloons = 28
One-quarter of balloons have strings so out of 28 balloons 7 balloons will have a string
And the yellow balloons with no string will be 28-7= 21

So the answer will be E
