Let's work together as a community to create world's best GMAT Diagnostic test by creating, refining, and improving diagnostic questions.

We have started this project with the Quant section to help GMAT test takers understand their weaknesses better. The test is free - please take it. If you have any questions or suggestions - post them here. Also, the idea of the test is to improve it based on the feedback of the community - here is how you can share your thoughts:
1. Take the questions in the forum and make sure you are using the timer so the difficulty is accurately established
2. Provide verbal feedback by replying to this thread
3. Suggest question types to be included in this test - please provide examples if possible (we'll take care of creating the questions)
4. Finally - get others to take this test and provide their feedback

How to use the Diagnostic Test - The Diagnostic Test is setup to allow you to test you as thoroughly or as quickly as you would prefer. The questions are arranged in sections in an increasing difficulty order - the first question is always 600-650 level, mid question is 700 level, and the last question is 750 level. If you are in a hurry, you can take either all easy or medium, or all hard questions only. Instead of 45 questions, you can only take 15 and leave the rest for later.

Taking the test
You should spend a maximum of 90 minutes answering 45 questions or if you are taking fewer then plan to spend on average 2 minutes per question

The questions have been developed by very experienced and high scoring GMAT Club members

Are the questions copyrighted?
Yes, but you can post and distribute them to benefit other test takers - please give credit to GMATClub for the hard work our members put into this test

Jw - there an updated version to this? I assume the core topics are the same, but the test has changed a bit in the past 3 years.

Hi. This Diagnostic Test Project is a bit of an outdated thread since now you can just take one of the GMAT Club Tests (quant and verbal). https://gmatclub.com/tests-beta/dashboa ... tfree.html
However, as a Diagnostic, it did not match the OLD GMAT format and it does not match the new format either, but that was intentional. The idea is to diagnose all topics instead of just simulate your GMAT Practice score. I hope that distinction is clear.

Thanks BB. Is there a page that shows the old vs new format with perhaps a timeline? I know Magoosh put out an analysis for the OG 13, but that's also a bit dated.

I am not 100% sure what you are asking.... The topics that are tested on the GMAT, have not changed in a long time.
The only thing that changed is the number of Questions that GMAC uses to determine your score. This change was implemented last year if you are curious about that, though it hardly matters at this time. However, if you are curious about what has changed, you can review this 12-page discussion
