@142472822915076 @199011738845277 I’m struggling with RC and getting around 50% accuracy on medium level passages. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can improve?
Hi Parth, I think you trying to memorise the passage, rather than understanding or may be the comprehension is the problem. You can do one thing, dont do the timed environment practice, Use the AI, ask it to analyse your thought process. Paste para by para from passage along with the your understanding as in what is the purpose of the para, what is the tone of Author, Is there Authors own view is present, how it is structured as in just fact fact or fact with someones opinion, ask the AI to analyse these. then post another Para do all the same previously done for para 1, along with this present your views how these two para are connected, and at last present your version of overall prupose of passage, tone and structure. and then ask to evaluate. Then paste every question along with your opinion on each option choice, why it is wrong and why the correct one is right. This process will take some time, eventually, you will be able to find where you are going south in process. Do these for 3 4 days and let us know how did it go

hey can anyone help me in answering this?
as per me it should be D, but GMAT club polls says A.
Conclusion- by wearing seat belts, drivers and front-seat passengers can greatly reduce their risk of being severely injured if they are in an auto accident. Why ? Because A survey was taken where the participants were all auto accidents victim lets say 100. Then it states 80% of severely injured drivers and front-seat passengers were not wearing seat belts. Now think, do we have all the set of auto victims or is there something missing? Since we were given 80% of those Severely injured, that means Author is assuming 20 % must have wore the seat belts right? Because as per author there is only 2 set of people, what if there is 3rd set and those constitute more proportion? as considered earlier we took 100 as total auto victim, then it can be case that only 10 were severly injured and 8 didnt wear seat belts, and if 90 who werent severely injured they were wearing seat belts, then the greatly reduced conclusion is not going to hold. Secondly the question is written in contrapositive way, where unless is understood as "if not". Hope this resolve your query about why A is correct

you can also refer to the GMATPILL and Karishma's explanation on the link a-recent-survey-of-all-auto-accident-victims-in-dole-county-found-that-77181.html
