1-no, i dont think so.
2-yes you are required to show. Proctor asked me specifically
3-yes allowed

The proctor asked you to show the whiteboard after the quant section? Even though there was no break then? Ideally, isn't this weird as he was talking to you during the test which would have deducted from your test time?

Just want to make sure as the GMAT rules said you only have to show the whiteboard at the beginning of the test, then before the break, and then at the end of the test.

Can anyone share tips and tricks to use offline whiteboard?
Currently I need to rub the board after every 2-3 quant questions and hence lot of time is getting wasted in rubbing.

Please suggest any time saying trick around this.

Thanks

Hi anumnit90,

When you take the Official GMAT at a Test Facility, you have 3 options for section-order and you have the option to take an 8-minute break after each "third" of the Test. However, with the At-home GMAT, the section order is 'fixed' (Quant first, Verbal section, then IR) and you have only one option for a break - AFTER the Verbal section. Thus, if you are planning to take the At-home Exam, you have to train to take both the Quant and Verbal sections in one sitting with NO break (and you might find that your Verbal performance suffers a bit under these testing conditions).

Hi, I had a small doubt. Say if I am able to save around 3-4 minutes after answering the last quant question, would you suggest to give a late reply to the last quant question? That way I can get a break before starting the verbal section. What do you think of this strategy?

Hi,
I am from India. I can't seem to find a whiteboard with the specified size online. Could somebody help with a link if they have found one?

I was wiping my board after every quant question but it wasn’t too big of a deal for me. I can suggest making sure you have a dry eraser and marker that effectively wipes in one go. When I was practicing I was using a Pilot marker that took 3-5 wipes but was able to find a BIC marker that just wiped out with one sweep. Makes a difference.

I think this strategy is fine as long as you’re confident you submit the last question on time. Maybe at least 30 secs before to be sure? But this should be fine to give you a bit of a break.

In my case I was not asked to show my whiteboard between quant and verbal :) hope that helps

Similar to the physical experience, are you allowed to write on the board (e.g., timing markers) during the minute they spend giving out instructions on each section?

Dear club members,
Please forgive me..but this is a bit silly and embarrasing! I just received a white board from amazon today.. the white board front is fine and fits the purpose..but to my horror there is a graphic at the back (MICKEY MOUSE :/) ..i m not sure if it fits the criteria...Can someone confirm if this is okay??

The issue is that they have stopped online delivery in my community as per extended lockdown. Could i just cover the backpart with something plain? Pls help!

Hi guys. I took GMAT last week, but didn't got the score I wanted, nor I got near anything, that I was getting in on the official mocks just beforehand. Therefore, I'm going to retake the GMAT and I now want to try GMAT Online. However, I have couple questions:
1. I know that the top schools have already pledged to accept the GMATO scores. But, I'm planning to start in Sep, 2022; even though I want to get rid of GMAT now, as I won't have time for it afterwards. How likely it is that the schools will say that they no more accept those scores and require I retake the test at the center?
2. Because AWA is omitted from the test, is GMATO nevertheless considered a good alternative to center-based GMAT? Or is it just another proof that nobody cares about your AWA that much?

Thanks a lot.

Can you help me whether this whiteboard will serve my purpose for GMAT ONLINE or not?
Magnetic White Board Sheet (43 * 30 cm) – Dry Erase

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07SR83Z2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Actually, I bought it from Amazon India & this is not "board", rather "board sheet"
Also, it's not clear ( albeit I've read all the post) about dry marker vs non-permanent markers.
Can you help me? It's urgent.

HI,

Can someone help me out here please regarding the whiteboard?

I ordered white baord which is black on one side (refer this link 3rd product image https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07SR83Z2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Will this work for the online GMAT or it requires both sides to be white?

Hi! Do they actually check the size of the whiteboard? Do you have to submit the measures or submit a picture of it or something?
They don't. They ask you to show the both sides of the whiteboard infront of the camera just to make sure that there is nothing written on it at the beginning and the end of the exam. They can easily gauge the size of the board when you hold it in your hands infront of the camera but it will only be an estimate with an error of 15-20 cms.

Hi
What is the backside colour of your board?

Are whiteboards with aluminium frames allowed during the exam? Whiteboards such as these on amazon: "OBASIX White Board 1.5 x 2 Feet Non-Magnetic ECO Series EWB4560 | Aluminium Frame"

I took the GMAT online yesterday with the whiteboard of the same make but a different size 1*1.5 ft. There were no problems with it. What I have personally realized is 1*1.5 ft sized board is more than what one would require. I would have preferred 1*1 but boards of that size aren't available on Amazon India. Also the board that you chose doesn't meet the GMAT size requirements ( length has to be less than 20 inches if I'm not wrong).

Is that brown colour on back in whiteboard is valid GMAT online?
