For physical board, we need to show the clear board before going for the break. Do the cleaning ans showing part is included in my test section time or is it post my test section is over? Will that inspection and cleaning time be counted in break?

That looks like a cherry back. Bad for you. GMAC preference birch. Oak is acceptable but I’ve heard several times proctors mentioned that they like birch much more than Cherry ans many actually hate cherry. I think your cherry back has a danger of failing the aesthetic control fiercely endorsed by the whiteboard panel. You will be shamed and ostracized.

Are whiteboards with aluminium frames allowed during the exam? Whiteboards such as these on amazon: "OBASIX White Board 1.5 x 2 Feet Non-Magnetic ECO Series EWB4560 | Aluminium Frame"

I took the GMAT online yesterday with the whiteboard of the same make but a different size 1*1.5 ft. There were no problems with it. What I have personally realized is 1*1.5 ft sized board is more than what one would require. I would have preferred 1*1 but boards of that size aren't available on Amazon India. Also the board that you chose doesn't meet the GMAT size requirements ( length has to be less than 20 inches if I'm not wrong).

You mean those 2 1/2 seconds that will take you to wipe the whiteboard? I don’t know. I think the regulations lump it up together with the nose picking time. You will get a bright green nose icon from time to time. Those are safe times to start picking your nose. It will then turn yellow and finally red. You must stop picking your nose when the icon turns red.

There are other icons that will pop up. Many are actually regionalized. For example, in France there is a mustache twirling break and in the United States, there is a butt-scratching break.

Pro Tip: Try to fit in erasing the whiteboard during the nose picking pr butt- scratching break time.

Hi,

I have a whiteboard with a graphic of winnie the pooh and a motivational quote on the back side. Is this going to bee a problem. If I tape a piece of paper to the back, is that better or more of a problem?

No. Only a glass of water in a transparent container is permissible. However, you may have the chocolate during the break between the Verbal and IR section. Cheers

Hi Bob, did u use this for your exam? How was the experience? Does it shake or twist while holding since it more of a sheet with less thickness?

Hey fellow GMAT-ers! Wanted to share my recommendation for a physical whiteboard for the online GMAT, since I'm VERY happy with the one I found. It's meant to be a magnet on a fridge, so it's completely flat (just like a piece of paper) and is very similar to writing on the dry-erase notepad provided at the in-person testing centers. I like the fact that there is no border because it lays flat on my desk and there is more room for calculations!

I am not allowed to post the link to the product or a picture because I am a new user with <5 posts, but if you search "Magnetic Whiteboard for Refrigerator 17''x12'' with Extra Smaller Board 12''x10'',Dry Erase Fridge Whiteboard,4 Magnetic Markers,1 Eraser and 4 Hearts Included" on Amazon you will find what I'm talking about.

arshiji that's not exactly the same posting, but the whiteboard product is basically the same thing. I don't know whether the minion eraser would be OK or not, but I would suggest buying a bigger eraser anyway, as it will cut down on erasing time.
