Sorry for this lame question-
Are multiple colored markers allowed to be used, or only a single color marker is allowed?

You can use multiple colors. Most sets actually have only one of each color so if you have to markers with you then you would I have to use different colors or potentially have to buy two sets which is annoying.

Hey,

I'm currently freaking out a bit :( My whiteboard kind of broke today.. it has a crack. That crack is pretty straight and looks like a line that goes halfway through the whiteboard.. what should I do? My GMAT is in 2 days and I have no opportunity to get a new whiteboard :(
The crack is only on one side!

Thanks in advance!

My whiteboard has a motivational quote written on the backside - I wanted to check if that will create any issue for the exam?

Inform the proctor that you will be using a whiteboard with a cracked face on one side and that you had no time to get a replacement. They may allow it to be used. You should be prepared to use the online whiteboard if the use of the physical whiteboard is prohibited.

Can you erase the quote? Any longish piece of writing may attract the attention of the proctor. You can inform the proctor if you are concerned.

At the same time if you have 2 usable sides and the crack is only on one of the sides, then it is not really relevant. You can use the non-cracked side... hopefully that's the case.

You are not supposed to have any writing on the whiteboard but I think this would be acceptable. You can show it to the proctor. Another DIY solution could be taping over it  There is no rule that your whiteboard can't have tape on it ;-)

Could anybody please send me an Amazon link (For India) or any online link to buy this 12x20 whiteboard?
I ordered one where it was exactly mentioned as GMAT whiteboard but received a much larger one. Cannot use it for the actual exam.

While my experience with the GMAT Online was not good due to technical / software issues (I posted about it on another part of this forum), I just wanted to inform everyone of the dry erase marker I was using - haven't seen any other posts about this type of marker being used by anyone for the Online GMAT and I have spent more than a healthy amount of time obsessing about the ideal marker  , so I wanted to get the word out there... While the non-permanent Staedtler Lumocolor marker will probably not be a good choice given that you can't easily erase it with a dry eraser, Staedtler actually also produces a Lumocolor Whiteboard Pen, which is the one I used for the exam.

The Staedtler Whiteboard Marker probably writes as fine as the EXPO Ultrafine marker, but I have found that the Staedtler marker has superior handling and doesn't break down (thicker / sloppier lines) with greater use as easily. If you're switching between Online and test-center exams, the Staedtler marker may also ease the transition to the Staedtler non-permanent marker. However, differences are probably marginal at best.

This is the perfect product for online GMAT whiteboard. It's thin and doesn't take much space. Dry wipe marker and eraser are included.

Hi bb ,
sorry for replying to an old post, I just couldn't find any info about this anywhere.
I was wondering whether it'd be allowed to prop up the whiteboard's side opposite of the test taker. That should reduce smudges, eliminate the "edge" problem, and mean that the board is actually closer.
Might sound like a ridiculous question but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Can some expert please confirm asap if these markers will be allowed for the online GMAT exam? bb GMATNinja
If not, please suggest some fine tip markers (with links if possible) as I couldn't find any other online.
