• Be the originally issued ID (no photocopies)
• Exactly match the name, birth date, and country of citizenship you used when you scheduled your exam
• Contain a recent, recognizable photo of you and your signature
Examples of acceptable non-expired identification:
Passport
Driver’s license*
Military ID (including spouse and dependents)
Identification card (national or local)*
Registration card (such as green card, permanent resident, visa)*
*Temporary exception: IDs with an expiration date between January 01, 2020 and the date of the exam will be accepted

Can you provide a reference for this? How do you know? Did you take it or is it on mba.com? (You did not ask him/her what country he/she was from by the way and requirements differ by country. I would be careful answering and they should be on mba.com)
I was not aware of a difference in doc requirements but always looking to learn ways new.

You can use your driver's license for the Online GMAT, not for the test center based GMAT.

Is passport mandatory or not? I shifted to my home town a month ago but I forgot to carry my passport with me. I do have a soft copy though. Will driving license work? Also, for GMAT at centre, can we show driving license instead of passport?
