Hi Samruddhi2199,

If you selected a School to receive access to your Official Score Report for your 1st attempt, then that School will be granted that access. Thankfully, most Business Schools do NOT care if you take the GMAT more than once, so having more than one Score on your record should not be an issue (and if you score significantly higher on your 2nd attempt, then you can present your 2 results as a positive character trait to the Schools that see both results - re: you don't give up, you rise to face new challenges, etc.).

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How did you score on your 1st attempt (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?
2) How long have you studied in total? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used so far?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Samruddhi2199,

Schools will see all accepted GMAT scores, which will be on your official score report. That said, if your next score puts you where you need to be, then you really do not have anything to worry about.

Hi!

I gave my GMAT exam recently and my score was not that good as per me yet I accepted them to be sent to the schools I selected before taking the test.
I am planning to give GMAT again and apply in the later rounds of admission this year itself with a good score. So even if I mention my new GMAT score on the application, will they still see my old score because I had accepted them previously?

Thanks. :)
Waiting for a reply..

Hi ! If anything, multiple attempts only show your commitment towards your goal and the hard work that you put in to achieve it. B- schools do understand that applicants might have been out of touch with studies and it could take sometime to get into the mindset while working at a stressful job at the same time. So don’t worry about your old score and just focus on improving the score and other aspects of your application. GMAT score does not account for more than 20%-25% of your overall candidature. Good luck!
