Hi gmathopeful90,

Since most Business Schools have multiple Rounds of admissions, you can retake the GMAT whenever you choose to. Round 1 for most Programs isn't until October, and you can work on your applications WHILE you study, so you do not need to be done with the GMAT in July.

As I mentioned in my prior post, a 670/Q48 is a strong score. Until you can name the specific Programs that you're interested in, there's no way to advise if you should retake the GMAT or not.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have indeed a few schools in my mind. However, since I have only 2 years of full time technical(non-relevant) work experience, I'm not too hopeful of a top 15 20 schools.

Dream:
Owen-Vanderbilt
Wisconsin Madison
Kelley Indiana

Others:

Fisher - Ohio state
Broad - MSU
Smeal - Pennsylvania
Boston Univ
Carroll Boston College
Illinois - Urbana Chanpaign
Rutgers
Krannert
D'Amore Mckim
Rady - UC San Diego

Anyone of these would be great.

Any Pointers you'd like to give me?

Hi gmathopeful90,

Most Business Schools expect you to have 2-5 years of work experience, so what you have might be sufficient. Part of putting together an effective application is in how you "sell yourself", so talking with an Admissions Expert might be a good idea. There's a Forum full of them here:

ask-admission-consultants-124/

Now that you have a list of Schools, you can also research them a bit and look at the profiles of the recent incoming classes. In that way, you can see how your GMAT score ranks and get some demographic information to see how you compare and how you might stand out.
