X = 5a + 3
X = 7b + 4

Y = 5c + 3
Y = 7d + 4

X-Y = 5a - 5c + 3 - 3
X-Y = 7b - 7d + 4 - 4

X-Y = 5(a-c)
X-Y = 7(b-d)

X-Y must be a multiple of 5 and 7 .. So Option E...

Alternatively
Values can be 3,8,13,18,23,28,33,38,43
Values can also be 4,11,18,25,32,39,46

Common is 18 - Now 18 is a number that that has both 3 remainder when divided by 5 and 4 remainder when divided by 7.... So the next number which gives us the same when we will had 7 x 5 =35 in it.... And then again thr next will be when we add 35 again...

Suppose Y is 18
X is 35+18=53

X-Y = 35

You pick any two numbers it will always give a multiple of 35...

X = 5a + 3
X = 7b + 4

Y = 5c + 3
Y = 7d + 4

X-Y = 5a - 5c + 3 - 3
X-Y = 7b - 7d + 4 - 4

Why remainder of 10^m and 10^n is always 1 here?
To divide anything by 3 you have to add all the digits of that number, now if there is a number that 9999 it is divisible by 3 but add one to it making it 10^4 and you get remainder 1

General tip - u need to be chilling in last 2 hours, don’t come here or solve hard questions, do some meditation listen to your favorite song and some light warmup before the test.

Essentially make all efforts to be in your best possible mood.

Hi everyone!
I started preparing for GMAT around 6-7 months ago with a few gaps in between. In my first GMAT attempt, I scored a 605 (Q80, V83, DI75). After a few months of this attempt I gave another one in which I scored 665 (Q83 V86 DI80). My target is 715+. I know the strategy to improve in Verbal. I am looking for some guidance for Quants and DI please.
Background: I took coaching from Top 1%, I still have access to their course. I have not done OG though. For Quants, I have only referred to their question bank and a few GMAT club tests. Same for DI as well. My pain point in DI is mainly Graphs and TPA type questions.
It would be great if someone could please help me with a strategy to improve in Quants and DI. Thank you!
