Hi jibbi,

I have total experience of 5 years in TCS. I am working in Testing profile and want to change my current profile. I have given GMAT on Dec 2017, but the score is very low and I am planning to reappear for GMAT.
Can you please let me know if at all I have any chances of getting call for PI?

Below are my scores-
GMAT score: 460
Engineering avg: 74%
12th: 78%
10th: 82%

Also I wanted to know by when do the applicants get the PI call from Great Lakes?

Dear varshahandu,

Sorry to say, but your GMAT score is very low. I would suggest you to reappear for GMAT. The application deadline for PGPM 2018-19 is 11th Feb, so in case if you give your GMAT prior to that, you can still apply with a better score( Usually 600+ is considered as a safe score).

The PI calls have started going out. Since the application deadline has been extended due to delay in XAT results, further PI calls will be made post 11th feb.

Hi,
I am a Technology Consultant, with 3 years 4 months of experience. I have secured 700 in GMAT 6 in AWA 7 in IR. However, because i had to complete my essay in 1 day i.e. I applied on Jan 30th, I couldn't plan it well and could answer "why i Choose Great lakes". Is there any chance for me to be selected for GD and PI. As I am confident enough to showcase my skills in GD and PI.
If i have a chance, can you all provide me some insights into the admission process, their conduct in interviews, and tips to cope up with the interviews and group discussions.
I would really appreciate your help and would like to thank you prior.

Dear Nightmare007,

The essay does carry weightage. The PI calls are in progress and people have started receiving calls based on their application form content. I hope that you would have also received. Kindly check with the admissions team for the status. (9650062121, MS Shalu Dua, Manager- Admissions, Great Lakes)

I got an interview invitation today. It's on 17th Feb.
Would you just tell me what type of questions should I be prepared for? And also, what essay topics they might give?

Thanks in advance :)

Dear aksh21192,

Congratulations for making it to the PI.

Few tips for the process.
1. How good your approach is and how well you structure your thoughts in the essay will matter. The topics might be related to current affair or some very generic topic.
2. Be thorough with your CV.
3. If you dont know any answer, say " I dont know" first, then start with" But i can give it a try" and then start answering.
4. You confidence, approach, soft skills, communication etc will also matter.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Hi Jibs,
I had called to GLIM to ask about the eligibility criteria. I read in the above post that GLIM restricts candidates with 5-6 years of work experience. In that case , as I have 10.5 years of work experience and as the above mentioned restriction was not communicated to me on call, will it be possible to get refund of the application fee.

Hello Jibs,

I have been called for the WAT and interview on Feb 17th. So, is a formal suit compulsary for the interview or is it okay to be dressed in a formal shirt?
Apologies if the question sounds silly but I am in a bit of a situation here.

Thanks,
Rahul.
