I went for the in-class visit yesterday. The experience was simply amazing! Its hard to put it in words...
After that we got to interact with some current students too. Was a nice experience..
I did meet a few waitlisted folks yesterday... But because of the visitation/interview day, there was a big crowd of prospective students yesterday.
I think they interviewed about 40-60 candidates from outside the bay area...
Don't know how many applications they received for round2.. but by looking at the turnout yesterday, that number seemed a lot bigger than i was imagining...
@calculas, were you there too? did we meet? ;)

A class visit was what sealed the deal for me. Haas seems to be a much different place than a lot of other business schools.

40-60 interviews on a visitation day isn't bad considering that it looks like they've only admitted ~40 people so far. 200 seats are still up for grabs.

Hi! yes, I was there. It was a good experience. Although, I didn't do the visitation part of the program, as I was an R1 candidate, but I was able to do a class visit and the reception ofcourse. Did we meet? good question, you might be able to recognize me - let me IM you.

packet82, looking at the linkedin group or facebook page, can you please check if Haas admitted more out-of-bay-area students in R1?
I know 1 guy who will be flying in from outside bay area who got admitted, apart from you...

There's one person I know of that's living in San Diego, but I haven't looked through all of the introductions all that carefully.

Same here. I sent another recommendation letter too. Not sure what else one can do! Now, rewinding to Jan 3rd where I had to wait for a month to know the results. :-)

At most schools, the bulk of the applicants apply round 2. I'd imagine Haas is no different.
