There are 10 players in a card game. The host distributes 1 card to each player. In the first round of distribution, 4 out of 10 cards are red-heart.
1] Assuming Tom is one of the players. What is the probability of him getting a red-heart card in the first round?
2] After 3 rounds of distribution, what is the probability of him having 3 red-heart cards?
I think the answer to the first is 40%, and the second is 6.4%. Somehow my friend argued that the answer to 2] is still 40%.
Tired of educating, somehow I want to have a third opinion. Thanks!
