Round 3 decisions are released next Wednesday, on May 13. It seemed like they meant activity for WL this week though (at least for 10 of us).

Apologies if this got posted before (looks like there's a bug on gmatclub), but what I was going to say is CaliforniaApplicant, I got the impression that the 10 that were supposed to move this week marked the last time the admissions committee could estimate a # that would move. After that point, it's just a matter of who declines or defers, meaning after this wave, they won't ding anybody until July.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one getting anxious about this. I just want a decision either way so I can move on with planning, either way :/

Did you put your deposit down elsewhere? I did, but can't commit to a roommate or place until I know for sure I'm going. Also stinks that my other choice (Wharton) didn't get a single dollar in scholarship money. HBS's financial aid is such an amazing thing.

I think we have a solid sample size here of about 10 reporting silence out of 40...which leads me to believe the activity will happen tomorrow.

They make round 3 offers on the 13th (next week), so between now and then 'our 10' should go out.

Happy to summarize as well more formally. Informally, I think it goes something like this:

- post receiving round 3 applications, up through the gap between HBS round 2 deposit date and other schools deposit date (HBS was April 28, other schools 30th): biggest wave of 20
- post round 3 interview (may 4), pre round 3 notification (may 13): secondary wave of 10
- post round 3 deposit date (may 30): they assess who didn't yield, but likely very few spots given round 3. Maybe 2-4
- indefinite 'summer melt' as Dee calls it: people dropping until classes start for whatever reason, maybe another 1-3

Im guessing out of 40, they admit 10, release 20 and keep 10 (similar proportional cut to last time). To your point, this will be the last wave of dings. If you're in the 'final 10', you may be on all summer.

Very hard to go forward with housing at my other school (Kellogg). Very distressing time. Hope we get clarity tomorrow.

Hey y'all -

Put together the timeline of Activity to the best of my knowledge in the attached Excel. I think the Round 1 Waitlist is "easier", but that being said, overall Waitlist Admit % approx. 30-35%.

Let's see what happens today.

Eileen's emails have mostly been sent out at 12 PM Pacific Time / 3 PM Eastern Time. But it's also varied. No news here either.

Eileens's updates have historically been late afternoon, agreed, but the ding emails (either interview invites, admit notification, or when the first wave of 40 WLers were released) have all been right at Noon.

Upon further reading of Eileen's email, I think you could interpret it as they may or may not be releasing anyone this week - Sort of wishy washy on that front. So it could potentially not be surprising that no "release emails" have been reported here.

What is perplexing is they were pretty clear THIS WEEK 10 calls would go out - and we have 10/40 on this thread and none are reporting. I like their transparency, but I also don't like the vagueness of the timing. Pick a day, a time.

To the folks who got the email, I'm really sorry to hear that. I wish everybody could have gotten off the list... Serious thanks for letting us know.

Silence on my end for today. Does anybody know if they call from an unknown number, or is it a 617 number? I did miss a call from an unknown number today, but it was probably a telemarketer (no message left).
