Hi, I have booked my test date on the 15th of December. I am from India, female, have 5 years of work experience in IT (with 2 reputed companies). My scores in the mock test have been the following:
620 (Experts global, without prep, taken on Sept)
680 (GMATPrep, taken on October)
710 (GMATPrep, taken on November)
760 (GMATPrep, taken last week)

Plz help me in selecting 5 colleges that I should choose on the day of my test, to send my scores to. GPA-4 (Fairly good profile, with awards and recognitions in college days on regional and state levels). Looking for colleges with good ROI (as finance is typically a matter of concern). Open to good universities around the world.

Hi dips1122 ..
I believe you have to choose schools yourself depending upon your profile, future goals, location, etc. Still, there is a lot of time to do this research. You can use multiple resources, rankings and websites which can give you the list of schools for best in Finance. After that, align your profile with them. Compare your profile with the schools fit profile and make a list of ambitious (where your chances are low), practical (where you stand a good chance) and safe (where your profile is stronger). You should take 2 ambitious schools, 2 practical and 1 safe school in sending score report. All the best for your GMAT :)

Hi dips1122,

The process of applying to (and ultimately attending) Business School will require a big investment of time, money and energy on your part, so you really should make sure that the Programs that you apply to match your career goals/needs. There are a variety of factors that go into selecting the Schools that you'll apply to, so instead of following opinions from random strangers, here are some things to think about:

1) Is there a particular company that you want to work for or industry that you want to work in? Certain degrees are more appropriate than others if you have a specific career goal.
2) What do you want your MBA to do for you?
3) Do you want to go to School full-time or part-time?
4) Are you willing to relocate? Are you comfortable with working through a program that is primarily online?
5) Are you going to be applying for scholarships?
Etc.

It's okay if you don't have answers to any of these questions just yet, but you really should try to define all of the important variables in terms of your goals, so that you can tailor your entire approach to getting into the best School that matches what you're looking for.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
