Hi bhargavinalluri,

Thank you for your post. Please read my responses to your questions below:

If I start today, (June 1'18)
1. how long do I have to prep (I have always been good at math and eng). The length of time you have to prep depends on the round you are applying. For example, if you are applying to first-round U.S. schools, which means that you have until Septemeber -early October to prepare; second round, usually until January, etc.
2. When should I book a slot? I am assuming you are talking about GMAT here. You should enroll to take the GMAT ASAP. You are allowed to retake the GMAT every 16 days for up to 5 times in a 12 month period. Time your GMAT test with the round you are attempting to apply to.
3. What is the next intake in the USA for which I still have study+exam+essay submissions time. The answer to this depends on how much time you have at your disposal. If you are diligent and focused, you might be able to apply to R1; however, more realistic is R2.

Happy to continue this conversion. Please email to schedule a free consultation (contact details in signature).

Good luck!

Hello bhargavinalluri,

You will have to book your GMAT at the earliest; the duration you take to prepare for the test will largely depend on how much time you are putting in on a daily basis :-)

Through independent research or by interaction with Admissions Consultants, you will need to (post having a GMAT score) identify the schools you wish to apply to. You will be applying for Fall 2019, the applications for which, will start Aug/Sep '18. You will be looking at 2-year programs :-)

Should you have any follow-up questions, feel free to write to us.

All the best!
