Holidays are allowed for kim to watch the movie...

Is that correct?

Hello sarasjain20 I will try to give my perspective here:

"allow" means "to permit" or "to enable"

'allow for' means 'make allowance for' or 'make provision for'

And hence there is a difference in the way you use these two words.

For your sentence: Holidays are allowed for kim to watch the movie...

I think it depends upon your intention here, if the intention of the sentence to make "holidays" as the provision for Kim to watch movies then it should be correct.

However, if the intention is that - Kim is allowed to watch movies ONLY on holidays then it is more about permission and hence the sentence would be incorrect.

Again, this is just my perspective and experts may opine. Hope this help!

"concerned with" ==> means involved with or connected to

"concerned about" ==> means worried about

"concerned at" ==> means worried about

"concerned by" ==> means worried about

Conform to ==> The idiom involving the verb “conform” is a little more unusual. When I say I conform A to B, then A is usually something under my control (my behaviour, my habits, etc.), and B is some kind of more universal standard or set of rules. The connotation is that B is based in some sort of authority, and A is something which should be governed by this authority.
