Statement I tells you that one of X and y is even and the other is odd..
Same can be inferred from statement II..

Combined too, we just know one is even and the other odd..
But we don't know which is even and which is odd..

#1:
either of x or y could be 2,3 so insufficient

#2:
either of x or y could be 2,3 so insufficient

combining 1&2 wont give any distinct value of x as well
