(x/100)*(y/100)*z = t

z = (10,000*t) / (x*y)

Option C

$$\frac{x}{100}*\frac{y}{100}*z=t$$

$$\frac{xyz}{10000} = t$$

$$xyz= 10000t$$ (divide both sides by xy)

$$z = \frac{10000t}{xy}$$

This is for dave13

GIVEN: x percent of y percent of z is t

Find values for t, x, y and z that satisfy the statement.
How about: 20 percent of 50 percent of 60 is 6
So, one solution is x = 20, y = 50, z = 60 and t = 6

So, when x = 20, y = 50 and t = 6, then z = 60

Now let's plug x = 20, y = 50 and t = 6 into each answer choice and see which one evaluates to be 60

(C)10,000t/xy = 10,000(6)/(20)(50) = 60,000/1,000 = 60
BINGO!!

Cheers,
Brent

Hi,
I would take 100% of 100% of t should give me t as the answer..
So X =100 and y = 100..
The choice should give me t as the answer..
Only C gives that answer => 10000t/(100*100) = t

Best way to solve this question is to write in sequence as described in question :

X% y= (x/100)*y
(x/100)*y%z= (x*y/10^4)*z
(x*y/10^4)*z=t
take values from RHS to LHS we get
z=t*10^4/x*y option C
