y =+ve
find x

As y= +ve, y is right to 0 on number line
1) distance between x and y = distance between O and y => x=0 (if x left to y) or x=2y (if x right to y)
Not sufficient

2) x is left to y
Not sufficient

1+ 2
x is left to y and distance between x and y = distance between 0 and y
=> x=0

Statement 1:
- If Y = 2, then the distance between Y and 0 is 2. So, X can be 0 or 4.
- If Y = 3, then the distance between Y and 0 is 3. So, X can be 0 or 6.
INSUFFICIENT.

Statement 2.
- Clearly insufficient. Can be any numbers.
INSUFFICIENT.

Statemen 1&2.
- If X must be to the left of Y and we put this constraint to the statement 1, so the answer is only 0.
SUFFICIENT.

Question says that y is positive.
(1) Sufficient : It suggests that x has to either on right side of y or left side of y (at zero). That means two positions are there for x.
(2) Insufficient: It says that x is left of y, but do not tell anything about the distance.

(1) and (2) Sufficient : This concludes that x has to zero.
