Extempore: Should online content be censored I took a stand against it. Mentioned my points on why it should not be censored - govt criticism - right to freedom of speech , equality Didnt get much content to speak. The interviewers understood that and helped via cross questioning Panel: hate speech, terrorism agenda these things if not censored , are harmful to the people Me: It is more of a reason to not censor, so that we can identify people with these thoughts and punish them under law. I work as a cyber crime volunteer and I can say this that its easier to catch illegal things out in the open than when hidden Few more cross questioning and discussion Next Panel: Why does icici, hdfc etc do not have many branches in international Me: im not into banking side of the firm, I deal with motor insurance so not much idea about this Panel: ok, what is combined ratio of icici Lombard Me: Answered the no Panel: Asked me about ULR and claims ratio Me: I do not know. My work deals with CRM business operations and insurance retention. Post retention work is taken care by diff dept. Panel: You have moved from a small firm to a larger one (The startup I worked in got acquired by icici), how did that work out Me: explained Panel: Should RTI be expanded into pvt sector Me: No, because rti was implemented to increase accountability in govt. Pvt sector already have seperate dept. To address queries of their stake holders, they do not require to address the concerns of general public. Panel: take example of icici, dont you think rti should be applicable here Me: No, because icici has dedicated risk and vigilance officer to address concerne. We also have a whistleblower policy where employees can raise any issue/illegal activity they see Panel: why mba Me: for a catalyst as career growth and where I want to be Also I like the model of education followed ( case study method). Something I can relate to because of similar method of discussion in my orev startup

extempore + cross questions (lucky, got a familiar topic), what job you want after mba, which company you want it in, one question regarding my company’s product (good question, made me think), why mba from iim-A

Extempore : Should manager be more focused towards satisfying employees , the client and shareholders will automatically be managed exact wordings may differ. Got so many cross questions on this topic , so overall extempore was covered as question answer session. Remaining all questions were from my profile. 2nd last question : why PGPX now ? Last question: you have any question for us ?

Debrief for Gurgaon The interview was scheduled for 3 pm, eventually took place at 4:40 pm Extempore: globalisation is overrated, countries should focus on local manufacturing (had to take a stand, either for or against this statement) I took a stand against this statement and said globalisation is not at all overrated. Cross questing around this for the next 5-10 mins. They tried to wind me up and get me in a hole by giving examples, I stood on my stand with examples of my own. Then questions related to the work I did for my last client. Then some questions regarding my current firm and their pricing model. Then one question regarding a hypothetical scenario. The overall interview lasted around 20-22 mins. No chance to ask questions of my own and no questions regarding why MBA or goals. Dont really know what to make of that. Good luck to everyone.
