Hi everybody, hoping to apply next year to IMD. Wanted to discuss recently published IMD's 2012 placement results...
Average salary down by more than $10,000 ($142,412 to $131,566) and median salary by more than $20,000 ($140,648 to $119,049) since the placement report of 2011 !! What has happened?!?

Yeah it's an interesting report for sure - I think you will find that's what is happening across schools in Europe and probably the USA too though, given the tough employment picture. If salaries aren't dropping, they're probably not going up by too much.
Also, if you're looking at the US dollar figure for IMD, there are probably some fluctuations due to exchange rates in play as well.
I am hopeful that the timing is good. As the economic situation improves over the next couple years, hopefully there will be a rebound in demand for MBAs.

Very interesting.. The median salary has dropped almost 10% in euro as well. Considering the experience IMD folks have, it is surprising to see the salaries go down so much.
