from the figure, (x + y) = 180

i.e. x/(x + y) = 3/8
i.e. x/180 = 3/8

i.e. x = 67.5

y=180-x
x/180=3/8
x=67.5

We know y+x = 180 so putting the value of 180 in the above equation we can get the value of x. Now equation says that x = 3/8 of 180. Solving this one will get 67.5...b it is

Since we have two supplementary angles, x + y = 180. Thus, we can replace (x + y) with 180 in the equation and solve for x:

x/(x + y) = 3/8

x/180 = 3/8

8x = 540

x = 67.5
