From the diagram, \(y + 30 = (y + 15) + (y - 15) = y + 15 + y - 15\)
\(y + 30 = 2y\)
\(2y - y = 30\)
\(y = 30\). Answer (C) ...

Extended outside Angle of a triangle is equal to sum of opposite two angles
(y-15) + (y+15) = y+30
2y = y+30
y = 30
(y-15) + (y+15) = y+30
2y = y+30
y = 30
