Hi MBAPRepCoach, I assume it was rather a regulatory problem. In the requirements for INSEAD it is stated, that undergrad courses have to be taught completely in English, to be considered as proof of sufficient English language skills. Postgraduate education is not part of the exemption. I did my PhD years ago in Germany, albeit in an international 100% English-speaking research institution. According to the admissions officer I had on the phone, this is insufficient because INSEAD had made the experience in the past, that PhD-holders still did not exhibit sufficient command of the language.

In the end everything turned out fine, though. I was allowed to hand in my English exam score after the deadline and passed the exam with the maximum score :).
Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm glad everything panned out!!

I have the same question/confusion-

I am currently preparing my application for Round 3 of Jan 2019 intake.
I have a Bachelors in Engineering and a Masters of Science degree from India (medium of education-English), and I also have a Masters Of Science degree from United States (medium of education-English).
Since all my education, in India and in US, has been completely in English, am I required to submit proof for English language proficiency?
If yes,what proof is required?
This question is in reference to the following language in the online application-

" If you have a university degree (a minimum of one full-time academic year with a diploma received from that host university) where all courses were taught exclusively in English (an exchange programme does not qualify), please send written proof that the language of instruction was English."

Kindly advice.
Unless I'm missing something I can't see how someone completing a PhD in English would be unacceptable but a masters would be?

Your Masters certificate and transcripts should suffice. The Bachelors would be enough too since it was taught in English (as long as this is clearly stated on the certs/transcripts)

Have the results for R1 started rolling out? Anyone received an admit/ rejection so far?

No one as far as I know. Finished my interviews on the 10th, and now I am just waiting for the results. Since 25th is the decision deadline, we can expect acceptance/rejection letters from next week.

Fingers crossed!

We are all waiting anxiously! These have been the hardest days of my life, much more unnerving than actually applying lol.

Although, someone pointed out to me earlier that clearadmit shows 1 admitted candidate. It appears to be someone from India with a GMAT of 780. That is all the detail I can see on clearadmit..

There also seems to be some movement on the gmatclub's decision tracker. Someone got admitted yesterday and it shows a few people having been waitlisted apparently. Not sure if these are all R1 decisions. Can anyone confirm?

From what I read in the previous year's forum, the results for R1 started flowing in around 18th May and the timelines varied across regions. Haven't seen the decision tracker though.
Fingers crossed! :)

I clicked on the names to get linked to their profiles - and they are applicants for sept’18 intake it seems :)

Have a query about what happens after one receives an admit. How many days are given to confirm the admit? And what is the amount that needs to be paid as non-refundable deposit to confirm the seat?

Hi, about 4 weeks (Here is the info https://www.insead.edu/master-programmes/mba/financing), the amount is 10K Euros. You not only have to make the payment before that date but also send the original transcripts and you might need to have those translated. Your admission officer will share the exact dates.

Hi - I can't update my application status in the decision tracker. When I try to change it to 'application submitted' (or any other option), it only lets me choose 2017 dates (which doesn't make sense). For example, I applied for R2 Jan 2019 intake on May 2, 2018 but it won't let me choose a date past May 2017. Can this please be fixed, MBAPrepCoach ?

Maybe I'm the only one with this issue, but if not, it'd be nice to see when people start to hear back! :-)

Thanks!
