Hi all. Had my interviews and wanted to share the overall experience.
Both were in late January. First was with someone who graduated from the Fonty campus in the early 90s, second was with a alumni who graduated from the Fonty campus (but spent one term in Singapore) in the mid 2000s. The first was more inquisitive - she multiple times stopped me (politely) when I was talking to explain more about why I did such a step or what my thought process was. This went back to even why I chose the particular high school program I did. I think she was trying to understand my thought processes and in general trying to see my ability to get into the details of anything from my background. She herself seemed eclectic and had quite an extensive work history and was very international, both personally and professionally. When people talk about the whole "good cop" "bad cop" thing, I suppose my first interview was the more tough one. But I felt actually like the second was harder in terms of being able to tell how I was doing. The first interviewer I could read facially and she would otherwise directly say when she understood or wanted more information.
The second interviewer was an executive at a Fortune 500 company. She asked more traditional questions, the 3 whys, and generally about what I want to do moving forward etc. While I had prepared well for these questions and felt like I had good rapport with the interviewer, it was hard to tell how I was doing. She kept a poker face and didn't seem too impressed or unimpressed.
Both interviews were about an hour and had some small talk about INSEAD culture, MBA life, etc. I think I did well, but it is tough to say. Good luck to all those waiting for final news and to those still in the process.
