(1)\(x+y=z\)
(2)\(x<0\)

Please give detailed explanation for your answer.

|X|= y-z means;
X>0; X= Y-Z
X<0; -X= Y-Z ; X= Z-Y

St1: X= Z-Y We dont know if X>0 or <0 ............ insufficient

St2: X<0 ; when dont know about Y and Z ......... insufficient

1&2 : we know X<0 and X= Z-Y hence sufficient

is |x| = y-z?

1. Not sufficient

x+y =z
=> y-z = -x

if x<0 y-z = |x|

if x>=0 y-z = -|x|

2. Not sufficient
x<0
we dont know anything about y or z or their relation to x.

together

Sufficient , as y-z = |x|

Answer is C.
