So, in the webinar, AdCom spoke to an ISB Alumnus who got in through the YLP Route and her entire journey as an applicant, a student and finally, as an alumnus. Regarding the essay, she said that she didn't go through any consultants and focused on being true to herself. She said it was important to showcase who you are as an individual and the aspects that make you an all-rounder. Rather than just listing out adjectives that remotely describe you, tell your story, and make it interesting.
Some other points she mentioned include
• Interview Prep.: Used "Case In Point" for case preparations and practised numerous guesstimate questions, as her career goals tipped towards consultancy. Both, cases, as well as a guestimate question (Something on the lines of 'How many windows are there in the world?'), were a major component of her interview.
• GMAT Prep.: Prepared for her GMAT in one month along with academics. She emphasized on first working on your basics and then taking a lot of practice tests.
• Number of Admits: ~100 Final & ~100 Pre-final year students. Approximately 1:6 students proceed each round.
