what's the time between interview and decision?

also, what if you have other schools you are applying to and say, they have their results after like 2 months from the time you receive your Ivey admit? Can you tell Ivey to wait for you?

Hey such8,

The time between interview and final decision can range anywhere between a few days to 4 weeks. The team meets every Wed (unless that changed recently), to discuss about the profiles and take a decision. But this was back when I applied and there were few applications. Considering the current scenario and the later rounds, this could vary.

Secondly, you generally get about a month from the date you receive your decision to pay your initial deposit. This could be stretched earlier, but you will have to reach out to your adcom SPOC for more details specific to your case.

Also, if you are an international student, please keep in mind that the timelines for Visa have increased, so if you want to join Ivey in March, you would have to apply by end Sep approx., depending on other guidelines in your country.
So if you want to wait for 2 months, please keep the visa timeline in mind.

All the best!

Hey guys,
I got an offer from Ivey today.
I appreciate all the help I got through this forum and I'm glad to share my experience to future applicants.
I am an Indian engineer from a top tier engineering college.
I got 730 on my GMAT.
I have over 6 years of experience in the capital markets domain and 3 years of entrepreneurial experience.
I had the privilege to interact with one of the most helpful alumni and admissions team at Ivey.
The interview was as mentioned in the de-briefs.
1) My journey so far
2) Why MBA? My goals.
3) behavioural questions

Yes, that's one of the factors they look at it. But, I have checked your profile and you are invited to the interview. So, better to concentrate on the next step to compensate your IR score if you think it is weak. :)

Good luck.

Not really, Nilesh. I'd suggest you focus on the interview and none of the pieces that you cant really help right now.

There is no thumb rule to this. Depends on where the applicant is applying from, the volume of applications etc. Takes anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks, and in some cases, more than that as well.
