Hey guys! Realized that there wasn't a thread for the 2021 intake for the full-time Ivey MBA program. Submitted my application on the 5th of January 2020. R1 Deadline was Jan 6th. Sharing future deadlines for the others: Application Round Deadline Round 1 January 6, 2020 Round 2 April 6, 2020 Round 3 July 13, 2020 Round 4* September 21, 2020 Round 5 November 9, 2020 Round 6 January 4, 2021 Sharing my feedback on the application process: Video Essay - Pretty straightforward. You have unlimited attempts at the practice questions. You get 2 questions randomly out of a pool of about 150 questions. My questions were - "What is the one thing about yourself that you haven't shared with us in the application" and "What would you do if a team member stopped responding to your calls? How would you respond to that?" The written essays seemed simple but it is a challenge to crisp this out to 250 words. You'll really know how little 250 words is, when you're writing this. If you've done your schooling and under graduation in English - PLEASE WRITE THE ELPT NOTE. I've seen many folks writing IELTS Academic/TOEFL for this. You don't have to if you can convince them that English has been your mode of communication during both academia and professional journies. Would love to hear about interview invites/dates etc from the others applying for this intake.

Could you pls shed some light on what the interview was like? How many people were in the panel and what were the questions asked?

It was very conversational and supportive like everyone else has said, they are really there to help you express yourself and your underlying motives for wanting to do an MBA. To prepare, I made sure to have an answer for all of the questions from the interview debriefs as well as a clear, logical explanation of my background, why MBA, and future aspirations.

Ivey is one of the only schools that has a member of the career management team do the admission interview, so be sure to tailor your questions at the end!

Hi Khanna,

No, you need to fill them in before you submit your application. You do have more time before they fill it in, but they require that the references are submitted before you have your admissions interview.

Generally Ivey allows a fortnight or a month to confirm the admit i.e. pay the deposit amount.
However if you have a specific reason for seeking additional time (which can also include waiting for an admit from another school) then you can reach out to your admission POC to seek more time.

Hi Everyone,

For future applicants, my timeline is below. This should give you a good idea about what to expect.

Application submitted ~ July 1st
Interview invite - 3 weeks later
Interview booking invite link ~ 1 week later
Interview ~ 4 weeks later
Decision - TBD

From my experience, this is a longer timeline than a typical applicant and I am not sure of the reason.

My interview experience : The interview was very similar to other applicants (based on the comments and interview debriefs).
It is very conversational and they try to make you feel as comfortable about it as possible. There is no curve ball and it is a platform for you to expand on your essays and resume. Good luck to everyone applying! I will update as and when I hear about my decision. Happy to help answer any questions.

You are free to choose any topic. Just make sure that it is genuine because in the interview, they may delve into the issue.

Hey everyone, does anyone know what kind of work in consulting candidates get into after Ivey?

Also, how is the salary like post MBA? I read the employment report, it shows median is around $100000 for consulting

2 questions-
1. Is this CAD or USD?
2. Is this the real scenario or not? Has anyone spoken to an alumni about this?

Probably too many questions for this forum, but was definitely curious
