I was interviewed by a second year and I was accepted. I don't think it matters. They're all members of the JAG and are trained to make sure the interviews are as consistent as possible.

I know that interviews at Johnson this year are semi-blind, meaning the interviewer has notes from an admissions committee member during the interview. For those of you who have interviewed, how did they use these notes? Were you asked any specific questions about your application?

I was told that there were specific questions that he had to ask me, however I couldn't tell which were his own or which were from the admissions office.

I don't think it matters too much. Just make sure you know what you had put down in your application before going into the interview. You don't want to accidentally say something that contradicts something you had in your essays.

I was interviewed by an admissions committee member. Before she began, she told me she has read my application and asked questions for me to elaborate on some areas of my application. I'm not sure if that's the norm.

In my interview, the second year told me she had a list of questions from the Adcom. She read those questions verbatim off of her cheat sheet and added some of her own.

So I just got an email from the school titled "Johnson Declaration of Finances."

It states "Dear , [note, this is actually blank. My name does not appear here.]

We look forward to assisting you with your visa application for enrollment at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Please review the following information regarding the Declaration of Finances to receive your I-20 and complete this form."

1) I'm not an international student so I do not need a visa.
2) Has anyone else received this (especially those of you not granted admission yet)?
3) Does this mean I have been granted admission? I'm guessing it is likely just a technical error...

[edit: My application status still reads "schedule interview." Interviewed last week.]

A friend of mine, who is not admitted and who has not even applied, received it too. I think it is a technical glitch.

Has anyone who interviewed during Super Saturday received an update on their application? Should we expect to hear via phone, through email or on the online portal?? Apologies if others have already discussed this...

I got a similar email. I was just thinking maybe they will give us an acceptance soon. Guess not. Good thing I saw your post.

I received this as well and my interview isn't even until Monday. Also, I am not an international student.

I don't really know if it'll help you or not. It could also potentially hurt you...

IMO, it's probably best just to wait it out a few more days...

Can I ask what those questions were? I don't have anything to hide, but I want to be prepared if they're going to probe into specifics about my background.

The one that I got was if I was planning on retaking the GMAT. My GMAT isn't that low so I was a little surprised. If there is no glaring weakness in your app, then expect "why johnson? what will you bring to the school?", etc.
