Hi all,
I just got an interview invite but only have a 2 week time frame for my interview (the next 2 weeks). At the same time the 2nd week, I have an interview for Harvard, and was thinking about interviewing with Cornell next week. Do you think a week of interview prep is sufficient? I actually have not interview for an MBA yet. Thanks
Congrats! I think a week should be sufficient.
It'd be good to practice with a friend or family member. Perhaps someone that doesn't know "your story" or your intentions for an MBA all that well. I'd suggest making sure that you can succinctly and accurately portray your work experience and explain the "Why MBA, Why now" questions.
Lastly, you can look around on this thread and on the forum for some of the other questions they might ask you. Like "tell me a time when..." you had to deal with a difficult co-worker, disagreed with your boss, had to influence a large group of people, or lead a team to achieve some difficult goal.
There's a lot of examples of these questions and other typical interview questions on the forum and on the web in general. I think the best advice would be to relax and remember it's should be approached as a friendly conversation with a potential future classmate or colleague and they simply want to get to know you better.
