Hypothetical question while I hope to get an interview invite: Is wearing a Bill Nye the Science Guy (Cornell alum) bowtie to an interview at Johnson too unprofessional?

Friend of mine submitted his application in November for the 1-year Tech Mba and have not received anything from the school yet, while, as I understand, the interview for that round happened in early January. Admissions office also does not provide a clear response...Is anyone here had similar experience?

They sent out a handful of invites already. All of them will be released on/by February 18. After the first small wave of invites, it has been pretty quiet.

That is a possibility. Where are you getting your information from?

I'm choosing to be a bit more optimistic for the time being (Trying to keep my spirits up for the Tepper interview in a week as well as KF decision and Fuqua Initial Notification). According to the first page, only 3% of R2 applicants who are forum members received an invitation to interview. That seems extremely low since R1 had about a 35% rate of invitation to interview. I see a few likely scenarios: 1.) forum members for R2 are exceptionally bad about updating their status. 2.) not many people on the forum were invited to interview R2. 3.) there will still be a bunch of interviews coming.

Here's hoping for the third option!

I just went back through this thread. From what I can tell no one got any interview invites for 2 Year until Nov 5th (or some slightly before by logging in on the 4th).

Also, we are in round 2 now! At least for full time, only a few lucky ones have gotten an early invite. MOST invites are still to come! Hopefully to us! :-D

I definitely misread your original post. My apologies for that - it has been a long day. I thought you were saying that most of the invites had been sent out already. I agree, waiting is painful but now is not the time for despair! (Agony during our month-long wait, perhaps, but not yet despair.)

Oh my god...Finally I saw this moment! I just got an interview invitation via e-mail a few hours ago..

I am planning to visit campus between 2-8 March and to have a face to face interview instead of skype. What do you think? What will be the pros and cons of visiting campus and having interview there? Will it worth to travel from to Turkey to US ? :-D
