the OA says ’at most one’. Doesn’t that also include a possible case where 0 persons recognise veryone in the room?

and it is necessary for at least one person to know everyne else in the room

OA is Option D. Option C says "at most one"....and yes, any "at most one" includes 0 or 1.

"At least one person in the room recognizes everybody else in the room"...this nullifies our case of no one recognising anybody

Some political observers believe that the only reason members of the state’s largest union supported Senator Hughes in his recent re-election campaign was that the union’s leaders must have been assured by Hughes that, if elected, he would stay out of their coming negotiations with the union’s national leadership, whose members have been financial backers of several close associates of Hughes. More likely, the union’s members believed that Hughes deserved to serve another term in office.

Which of the following best parallels the method of argument used by the author?

A. The popularity of Deap, a powerful carpet cleaning system that can be used by the homeowner is, some industry observers say, due to an agreement made by a leading professional carpet cleaning company to supply Deap with the chemicals that are sold as accessories. This does not, however, fully explain the sudden popularity of the product in the last three months.

B. After a rocky start, Shade, a new cosmetics line, is now selling briskly. The reason for the turnaround is almost certainly that Shade is now being marketed to women in their twenties, not just to teens. This has helped the product achieve a more sophisticated appeal, which has translated into greater sales in every age group.

C. The Shakelight, a small flashlight that can be powered for several minutes by a shaking motion, has once again proven a popular gift item this holiday season. Initially it seemed None of the options seem relevant..indeed a Hard Q....my way of thinking are these keywords "the only reason.....largest union supported the Senator in his reelection is that....he wd stay out of their upcoming negotiations with the union’s national leadership......been financial backers...." Out of all the options nly D talks abt a deal (aka negotiation) made with a major......guaranteeing that the retailer would carry the coming line of products[future commitment] ........this is the nly option tht relates to a negotiation that’s committed to carry forward an endorsement

I would love to have a better explanation from the Champs

A student response survey found that students
who paid for 10 or more in-person tutoring
sessions on an hour-by-hour basis missed or
rescheduled a session on average once every
five sessions. By contrast, those students who
purchased tutoring sessions in ten-hour packages
missed or rescheduled a session on average
only once every ten sessions. This indicates that
students are at least partly motivated by the
amount of money they have invested for in-person
tutoring.
Which of the following, if true, calls into question
the explanation above?
