Hi All,

I am Indian Female with IT background and work ex. of 3.8 years and gmat of 650
i also have team leading experience and international exposure (mexico for 1 year)
my GPA is 3.3

do you think i stand chance with 650 GMAT in Indiana?
all the institutes say that gmat is not the only thing but behind the scenes it is the most important thing..
please provide me your honest opinion if i should apply or retry GMAT by Jan deadline

Hi,

I believe you stand a good chance and should go ahead and submit your application.
Perhaps you can re-take your GMAT after submitting apps in Round 2 and update the adcom in case your score goes up. And just in case it takes a dip, you have already applied with 650.

Hi Malezmi, as per my knowledge, Kelley announces its decision of first round by mid Dec or a bit later. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I also hope best wishes for you, I think Kelley's final decision is too late. After a week I submitted my application, they invited me to interview, I was surprised because it was very quick. Then I was invited to interview on 29 oct. Now it seems, I have to wait for nearly 2 months to learn the final result! It is a very long process!

Had my interview on 11th Nov. 2013 from 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM IST. The interviewer was a 2nd year student at Kelley and she was pretty calm and friendly :) I felt it to be more so like a conversation going on between us than it being an interview. The questions were the standard ones :

Walk me through your resume
Why MBA and Why Kelley
Tell about a leadership experience
What are some of your qualities that you would take forward to Kelley as well
Describe about a situation where you had to multi-task
Describe about a situation where you had to face challenges while leading or working with a team
Mention one of your personal or professional accomplishment that your cherish the most
Any questions that you would like to ask about Kelley

Kudos to the interviewer though for making the interview experience a very conducive one :)

Does anyone has an idea about H1B to F1 visa conversion? Can an H1B holder apply for F1 visa? I am working on H1B and I have to leave my employer for MBA, so I would need F1.

I heard that H1B holder are not eligible for F1.

Can anyone please help with this?

Might be being too optimistic, I will go out on a limb to say that Kelley does not interview reapplicants and directly gives the decision on the basis of the reapplication essay. Lets hope its that only, would make the life so much simpler.
