Hey People!! Please respond... Its a tough call.
Thanks!
Hi vivek1303,
I don't know much about Olin or Foster, but I did do extensive research into Kelley as I'm a Marketing guy myself. Kelley will do amazing work putting you into a CPG/Brand management role. Outside of that, I think much of the opportunities become more regional. However, with alums across big brands, you'll likely be able to build a good network to break into general management. You're will also be somewhat close to Minnesota where general management roles will exist. At Kelley, you'll also be close to Michigan where your auto industry experience may be looked at positively.
On the flip-side, Olin and Foster are better positioned in Washington for consulting, but I have a feeling that government consulting gigs will dominate. Do you think you could break into that industry?
What I would do if I was in your shoes is call the career center of each school, and ask them to put you in touch with an alum who was an international student in the companies you'd like to get in. You've been admitted so they will do their best to accommodate you as they want you there. As an international student, employment reports don't tell the full story. Find some real examples, and see if you can replicate it.
