Hi Forevertfc,

That would be a great suggestion. I can certainly approach the Career cell to get me in touch with relevant people in the industry.

However, from what I have read on the forums, International students don't get a sponsorship from CPG companies for Marketing roles for obvious reasons. This leaves them vying for either Consultancy or Operations roles. I believe, looking from that filter as well, Kelley would be better choice.

Will be taking a decision soon.

Thank you for your guidance!

If you have scholarship at Kelley, I dont think it should be up to any debate. Better rankings, better reputation and it definetely matches your post-MBA goals. I think you just go ahead with Kelley.

Thank you for your response. BTW, you yourself have got some amazing admits. Where do you plan on going finally, if I may?

Hi Guys,

Glad to say all the amazing admit related questions people have been posting. The quality of responses spurred me to ask my own dilemma on this forum. Hope this helps someone else to make his/ her mind.

Current Dilemma - I currently have admits from a few school and these are the ones i am considering heavily -

Olin ($$$), Foster ($$), Kelley ($$)

I have a Marketing/ Operations background in an automobile industry around 2.5 years. Currently, I am working as Brand Marketing Manager in the same company. Overall, I will be completing 4 years by the time I will join college.

Post-MBA I would go for either General Management or Consulting.

Highly looking forward to anyone's spare 2 cents... Much obliged!

I would say all else equal Kelley trumps Olin in the Midwest unless you really want to live in St. Louis. Depending on spread between overall cost (including living expenses) maybe Olin if you are extremely risk averse about borrowing money. Foster and Kelley depends on where you want to live; it would be crazy to pick between schools that are more-or-less the same tier based on a perceived reputation. Both schools are regional schools (Kelley is a little bit more spread out but part of that is its somewhat bigger); this can be considered an advantage since most Foster alums stay in Seattle / Pacific Northwest their network kills it due to a lack of competition. People in the Midwest / East Coast may say they have never heard of Foster but the West Coast people will say the same thing about Kelley. I will say cost of living in Seattle will be more expensive than Bloomington (but the location is also way better).

I am slightly biased as I will most likely be heading to Foster; but I am currently in Chicago and spent a few years in Indiana. Seattle and the Pacific Northwest is a way better to location / weather. Foster is also considered a marketing / general management school. Consulting opportunities at both schools are similar; tech marketing Seattle has the advantage but Kelley probably has an advantage with CPG.
