You may want to explain the gap in the optional essay/additional info session to provide context but most importantly to showcase what you have been up to during this period

I am a medical doctor and want to pursue MBA, how can i increase my opportunity to get admitted?
Try to demonstrate transferable skills - strategic thinking, leadership, operational optimization, teamwork

It will also be important to clearly show why you want to make this transition and that you have thought through how you will do so. Have clear goals and a plan to achieve them (of which the MBA is one critical piece).

If you search "PROGRAM NAME student ambassadors" the websites should show up! (I keep a shortlist handy)

In an interview with AdComs you can assume they have read your essays and can therefore ask more pointed questions, but they are generally not trying to stump you or throw you off. They might ask detailed questions about something you wrote about to better understand it, so it’s a good idea to review your essays prior to your interview.

Which school are you interviewing with? We keep a real-time database of actual interview questions so I might be able to tell you what to expect.

What kind of questions should we ask the student ambassadors/alums ? Could you give some examples?

Cornell interviews are fairly standard, but they do something dig into the "why" behind your decisions. Check out our free Cornell Interview Guide for more on this. https://www.mbamission.com/guides/inter ... iew-guide/

Ask about their experiences! You can usually review their profiles to select ambassadors with similar backgrounds and/or goals so the conversation can be tailored to your interests and you can learn specifically how the school will suit you.

Do you mean change them for each school you apply to?

No! From what we hear from admissions, the % of seats filled by R2 is somewhere between 35-45%. R2 can be harder if you are from a common ("overrepresented") pool of applicants, but there are still plenty of seats!

In both rounds it’s critical to show the schools how you are distinct--why they need YOU in the class vs. someone else with a similar background.

Excellent question! Most schools have student ambassadors who volunteer to connect with prospective applicants.
Is this the case for most of the European schools as well? Thank you!

Make sure your goals are ambitious but achievable, and that you’ve done your homework. What roles/companies are you targeting, and what impact do you hope to have via these goals?
