Hello everyone,
I was accepted to the LBS MiM 2011 class, but was granted a deferral to the class of 2012. Although it is still quite a few months until classes begin, I wish all of you luck in your applications.

My Profile:
Age: 22 / M
Nationality: USA
GMAT: 690
3.7 GPA from a top 10 American university, social sciences degree
Undergraduate internships in marketing on 3 continents, speak 3 languages fluently.
I will have about 11 months full-time experience in retail by the time I arrive in London.

Since I had deferred, the decision for me was whether to take advantage of an amazing global early career program now and look towards internationalizing my career early, or continue working in the US for a few more years and apply for an MBA at a top American school or LBS/INSEAD. I eventually decided I could not pass up the MiM opportunity.

First off, congrats!!! You have a very impressive profile - the competition is truly fierce...!

Wow, 3 languages -...very impressive! Personally, I speak 3-5 (depends on the fluency in Swedish and Norwegian required to deem it fluent - accent is horrible, though I can use the language hehe) :)

I will apply in Round 2 or 3 depending on my GMAT score...

Fingers crossed hehe...

PS: I think you made the right choice. ;)

Hi Candize,

You have such an interesting background. I really hope that I can be your classmate this year.

Congratulations, everyone!

LBS is notoriously mum on admissions percentages for all of its degree programs, so I don't think you'd be privy to this information unless you worked in the Admissions Office.

Suffice to say that if you have received an interview, it is an infinitely better sign than a rejection. :P

Thank you candlize.

I'm wondering whether they could set up the interviews in such a short time, since the Thanksgiving is coming next week and the final deadline is Dec 2nd right after the holiday.

Still waiting as well. They asked not to send an e-mail but we're almost one week from final decision day...
