Hi all,
Congrats to all the admits so far.
I am a final year engineering student from India and the dilemma is whether I should send in my application for R4/R5 or wait for next year's R1. Earlier I was not very sure about taking admission in an MIM program and now when I am sure, I need to take GMAT and prepare rest of the application. Since it is a known fact that last rounds offer very few seats and also reduce the chances of any type of scholarship or financial assistance by a large extent so would it be recommended to wait for next year's R1? I will also gain some work expereince in analytics domain at a 2nd tier consulting firm by then which might be of some help in my post MIM career prospects as I crave for consulting positions.
My profile is:
Class 10th: 95%, Class 12th: 94% (Ranked among the top 5 in the state in both exams)
Undergrad: Engineering, GPA: expected 8/10 (absolute scale, 2nd rank in class)
College: IT-BHU (IIT brand & No. 1 ranked university in India)
Strong leadership experiences ( student secretary and representative in various student bodies and clubs) and good ECs
International Experience: EGIDE (INRIA) Scholar, France and a research internship. Few other research projects and an internship at an NGO in India.
I hope my profile looks sufficient enough and a GMAT score over 720-730 (keeping my fingers crossed
) will definitely boost my chances.
Any kind of suggestions are welcome.
Cheers.
