Hello everyone, I have recently joined this group and I thought it would be nice to ask the people here, after reading the posts about B-schools and programs.

I am a undergraduate student, currently in the 3rd and final year of my BBA international business, I'm planning to give my GMAT in first half of September hopefully— targeting a score above 680. I want to do master in digital marketing, and after couple weeks of research by myself I came down with several universities that offer this program. Here's the list:

Spain
• IE Spain: Master in Digital Marketing
• ESIC business and marketing school: Master in Digital Marketing / Master in Interactive Marketing

France
•KEDGE Business school: Msc digital marketing and sales
• Montpellier Business School: MSc in digital marketing

Italy
• Bologna Business School: Master in New Media and Marketing Communication
• MIP Milan Polytechnic University: IM4- International Master in Marketing Management, Omnichannel and Consumer Analytics
• Luiss Business School: Master in Management and Technology— major in digital ecosystem

I am specifically looking for universities in these 3 countries, with Spain as my first preference followed by Italy and France. The problem I'm facing is that I am not really sure about how good the program they're offering is. I'm not talking about core wise, like what's mentioned in their syllabus but like how professionally and good their whole program structure is. Therefore I ask for your help regarding this, if anyone could help me out by giving me some insight regarding the program of any university mentioned above, and also if there's any good university in the countries of my choice that offer Master in Digital Marketing. Thank you and apologies if I posted this in the wrong thread.

Hey, your research is good. But what I would suggest is to wait for a few years, gather some work experience and then go for your masters.

Hey Neprotox,
I see that you are primarily targeting Europe for your MSc Marketing.
Well, Europe has been the front-runner for Masters in Management and specialized master's degrees for quite sometime now.

Now, digital marketing is a trending field across almost all countries so getting a specialized master's degree will definitely give you the edge.

Now coming to your target schools, your research is good but I would suggest that you keep the below pointers in mind.

Do not compromise on the brand of the school, as most of the tier-1 companies recruit from the top schools. Now you have chose a specific niche of MSc Marketing to specialize in , so the ideal strategy to get into a strong digital marketing program is to Target either core digital marketing masters or target MSc Marketing programs that have solid digital marketing tracks.
In this context, since your most preferred country is Spain, I would suggest you focus on IE rather than ESIC. Italy schools are fair - Bologna is more known for its executive MBA programs, rather than the specialized master's programs and again I would not say that the others are known for strong digital marketing tracks. So unless you very specifically want to work over there, they can be put under safe schools.
Kedge has a strong supply chain management program, and while the digital track is good I am sure that there are more options in France and the rest of Europe to check out.
In my personal opinion, ESSEC and RSM’s MSc Marketing programs have really strong Digital Marketing Tracks. These schools have a massive brand in France and the Netherlands respectively, and are prominent across Europe - Since you have mentioned that you are open to looking at other countries and schools as well, so I would suggest you to check these options out.

Here are a couple of good options for core digital marketing masters as well:

-ESCP Europe - MSc in Marketing and Digital Media
-Trinity College Dublin - MSc in Digital Marketing

Again, both of them are prominent schools in their respective countries, have flexible immigration policies.
Just bear in mind that the salaries in Ireland are less when compared to other European countries, but the visa and immigration policies are extremely flexible. So if you go for a brand name like Trinity, it will still be a sound decision.

I think you will find this post on MSc Marketing Interesting - Might help you expand on your target schools.

Thanks for your post, I've done more research meanwhile and altered my list. In Spain I'm mainly focusing on IE, being my sole target, since it qualifies all my personal requirements. For France I'm focusing on IESEG, they have really good digital marketing course and in Italy I'm targeting MIP, that's my #3 option. I recently hired a counsellor to assist me with my application process and he mentioned that i should target UK too. I'm not that interested but i think I'd like to give it a try, could you suggest me some good UK universities where they have a strong digital marketing program? Thank you :)

Hi Neprotox, I am not sure if you have done the school targeting right - IE is fine, but IESEG is more of a safe school for you. Ideally, you should be targeting about 2 dream schools, 2-3 competitive ones and one safe school. This is to maximize your chances of getting into the best brand possible - For international applicants, I would not suggest compromising on the school's brand as it majorly affects the ROI later on.
Would strongly advise you to re-strategize on the school targeting part.

I actually got into IE, but i don't think I'll be able to do it because of the fee i have applied for IESEG, let's hope for the best
