Just finished my skype interview with a very pleasant second year student at Mccombs..It was short and sweet (31 minutes to be exact) and very conversational...He did not ask the generic WALK ME THROUGH YOUR RESUME question ...went straight to the more meaningful questions of why mccombs, why mba, why now..where would you like to contribute within the organizaitons..In the end he asked me a very interesting question..What have you learnt about yourself through the application process ... All in all a very plesant interview which was about as relaxed as one could expect...They just want to see the FIT and want to know the reasons behind your decision to choose Mccombs..You have to actually DESIRE to be a longhorn and thats what they are trying to guage...

Congratulations..You are probably the first one on this forum to get accepted..When did you interview, and how did they contact you with the acceptance (email or phone call?) .. I thought that they'd inform everyone at the same time on the 20th of December, but it appears they are announcing decisions as soon as they have decided on a candidate.. Congratulations once again, Mccombs is an awesome school, in an awesome city..

It almost has to be the former..I had a short interview as well...Short usually means that he is less interested in the core-questions they provide (the admissions committee) and more interested in getting to know your personality and what you based your school selection on. If a person finds you totally unacceptable or boring he/she will probably still go through the motions..

Thanks, vomhorizon! I submitted on the Rd 1 deadline and interviewed on the 14th in NYC with an admissions officer. It was a phone call with the person I interviewed with. They indicated that I will receive the welcome packet in the mail before the end of the year and an email with more information on Friday, the 20th.

awesome man..You were lucky in that you got an invite early on before they ran into computer issues and were able to interview in the city..I had purposely taken up a month long assignment around NYC so that i could interview in the city..but they sent me an invite after the NYC schedule so i had only the option to do skype (Even austin slots were all taken up)..Hope to join you in the healthcare concentration , fingers crossed...
