Can anyone let me know which admission events of McCombs if attended provides a fee waiver. I received a e-mail from them saying only select events provide a fee waiver ?

You have to scan their Events page and keep an eye out. It's all given there. OR> Register for em all. The confirmation email for such a session will say so on that mail.

Check again, just got an email 3 minutes back regarding the waiver being successfully applied. Checked the website, it’s done. they’ve sent a mail for the interview. Has to be submitted within a week.


You mean they’ve sent an email for the video essay? Or is that the same as MBA interview?

No, this time everyone applying does a video assessment. It's like an interview but the questions are pre-recorded. No further traditional 'Interview by Invite' as part of this year's evaluation.

Did you get the application fee waived or did you pay the fee? If it was waived off, approx. how much time did it take for the waiver to apply to your application after actually submitting it?
I had attended one of the admission which stated auto application fee waiver.. Any idea if we have to submit a waiver application in such cases ?



As per their mail "No further action from you is needed in order for you to receive your application fee waiver, worth $200 USD. Your application fee waiver will be processed 5-10 days after you submit your Fall 2023 application. Please do not pay the fee in the meantime."

=>
Step-1 : Submit MBA application.
Step-2 : Wait for 48hrs for MBA application to load in their "MyStatus" portal.
Step-3 : Once the application is loaded, system shows that you are owed 200 USD for Application fee.
Step-4 : Wait for 7-10 Business Days for application fee waiver to "auto" apply or pay the fee.
Step-5.1 : Once the application fee is waived or paid, upload other required documents (transcript, etc).V
Step-5.2 : Once the application fee is waived or paid, link for video assessment is mailed.


I submitted my MBA application on 23rd Sep and have been waiting at step-4. If anyone has received the waiver and submitted the video assessments, please share your experience.

Does anyone know of sample essays that can be referred for preparing for video interview/essay?


Hm… we have sample essays, but I don’t think those include video interview. Those are just in PDF. We also have interview debriefs, but I’m not sure if those are useful either… 🤷‍♂️

I doubt any conventional prep for the video evaluation will be helpful. I did all three practice questions. They gave 30 seconds to prepare and 03 minutes to speak for each question. The questions were unconventional:

1. Which superpower you would choose and why?
2. Between I-Phone and Android, which and why?
3. If you're the first contact of an extra-terrestrial being, what would be your first communication?

I'm guessing the actual evaluative questions will be similar, will update post completion.

Hi everyone, I created EID for McCombs. However when I started the application, I am seeing this error. Is anyone else facing same issue?

Hey guys, this problem is still persisting. What I’ve realised is that when I access the form from my corporate laptop with VPN on, it is accessible but in other systems or even without vpn off it doesn’t work. I’ve raised tickets in the help center but to no avail. Is there any other way that I can expedite the resolution process? I even tried creating another EID but that isn’t allowed.

did you check the class profile? It will tell you the average GMAT score of the class which gives you an approximate idea.

I have submitted my application but it’s showing pending with application fee yet to be paid

I have received a waiver already. Anyone having any idea on how much time it takes for the waiver to reflect ?

My bad, guys, just gave the assessment. Out of the 7 questions, 4 were work-ex related, 2 regarding hobbies, and 1 was abstract. Pretty conventional questions.

In order to avail the application fee waiver, do we need to submit the application a week before 11th Oct? I read someone’s comment in the thread which mentioned that transcripts etc can be uploaded only after payment step is completed.
