if your profile is outside of indian tech then have fair chances you can apply but indian tech industry background you should have good gmat

sorry to jump in between but if u got waitlisted at 740 then I dont think GMAT wss the decision point. .740 is a great score anyday for any b school given that u have all other things in place as well.

now a days colleges like marshall mccombs wants to take people of high scores

2 cases here, might be the vidoe interview didn’t go well or even though it went well your goals might have not conveyed clearly

but you have a good chances

as many of them wont accept with big score

check what can be improved

on the essays front or profile

Video interview actually went well... I have no complaints there... Problem might be with goals... I mentioned I want to get into IB post MBA... Maybe I got waitlisted because McCombs is a non target school for IB

Yeahh they may want to.....but still 740 is a score that can get u anywhere. Also I have noticed that sometimes the pool in which one applies also play an important role.
Indian Male tech profile is overrepresented, we all know but what about a case when you have 20 of them in R1 and only 10 in R2.
So here R1 will surely wont help the cause
Your hardwork is surely needed but luck factor also plays in sometimes
