Hey qwerpar123

Congratulations on getting a 770. It is indeed a great score.

I remember analyzing your 730 ESR and there were very small shortcomings in CR and SC. Some of them were related to concepts and most of them were regarding the timing strategies adopted by you.

I only broke down the further action points for you and laid a very simple plan to follow. It is you who worked hard getting towards your Target Score.

You applied each step categorically and focused on revision instead of solving more questions. Kudos to you for keeping your spirits high even after getting a 730.

I am really happy for you!

Best

Egmat can't even spam this forum properly. When you take online GMAT and verify the score, it reflect near your verification batch.

The guy has 3 posts. LOL. What a misleading post.

Congratulations for a great score!

Can you share some of the verbal skipping/guessing strategies you find most successful?

Also share which time markers have you used to measure yourself during the tests.

Thanks in advance and salute to your perseverance.

For Verbal I realized that you need to have a clarity on your strong and weak sub-section.
For me , my SC was RC were a bit strong and took me comparatively lesser time than my CR.
So I always follow below sequence to skip/guess the questions.
1. Lengthy CR
2. Lengthy RC
3. Small RC

I also noticed that in my case , I always got smaller RC towards the end . So , I mostly skipped CR questions during mocks.

Also , for time markers I divided the verbal in 4 parts
1. 10 questions - 18 min
2. 10 questions - 20 min
3. 10 question - 18 min
4. 6 question - 10 min ( Although almost always I had to guess 2-3 questions in the end , even in the final exam).

But , I'll suggest that you try and figure out best-breakdown for you by trying out different strategies in official GMAT prep mocks.

Also , good luck for your exam

cantaffordname - not sure what you are trying to say. A majority of students who register on GMAT Club don't post.

Below are a few recent debriefs where the poster's first/second post was the debrief itself:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/my-730-under ... 30196.html
https://gmatclub.com/forum/esr-analysis ... 30173.html
https://gmatclub.com/forum/debrief-720- ... 29649.html

I don't believe that these are fake. The reason most students post the same is that they have benefitted from the courses and because they want to give back to this amazing community. For example, most likely michelleyoon32 benefitted from his interactions with Empower team.

Moreover, from what I can see, qwerpar123 has verified his score using the official score report.

cantaffordname - I read your review and understand that your score went down post taking the course. I am sorry for that. I understand that it can be really frustrating. Frankly, I would be too. I also noticed that someone from the eGMAT team analyzed your dashboard and offered to help you.

The help we offered you is the same help we offered qwerpar123 and many other students. Below are some such examples of how it helped students improve:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/trust-the-pr ... 07942.html
https://gmatclub.com/reviews/comments/e ... -345358954
https://gmatclub.com/reviews/comments/e ... -345358999

Again... we are there to help you get to a high GMAT score. We don't like abandoning diligent students. Do reach out to the team if you need help.

On a completely different note, bb - can you confirm that this student has verified his score? Also, it would help if you could confirm the stat that many registered users don't post (since you have the stats). It would also help if you could provide the details of the score verification process.

egmat what I am saying is when you take GMAT online and verify, it comes near the verification tag. In this debrief, guy has mentioned that he took gmat online and got 770. I don't see any logic here.

Regarding my score, I had mentioned that after completing I took gmat prep and mentioned the score. Also, I've provided all details.
