Hi Guys,
First timer posting and new user on GMAT club. I am hoping anyone can give me some suggestions. I had GMAT long time ago (8 years) scored 620 after having prep course with Kaplan (Q49, V??? but horrible for sure). I am assuming lot of big changes since then. Now I want to re-start the GMAT. I am targeting around 700 and start school by Fall 2018.
So far I have 2 prep courses lining up. For Q, i want to go with MathRev and for V, I want to use
e-gmat. How should I start these process? Should I finish V then start Q or do it alternately? I am very good in math and horrible in V. Also, is this a good combination for GMAT prep or should I take the whole course with Kaplan or Ver instead?
Little about myself. I have a full time job, a wife, a 5 years old boy, another one on the way and my parents under the same ceiling. I figure I am unable to do 8 hrs study each day; 2-3 hours in weekday and 4-6 hours in weekend are doable. No test date being setup yet.
I would like to get opinions from the communities so that I can reach my 700.
Thank,
Andy
Hi
As your Quant is already in right direction, so lets talk about verbal
Verbal is something boring on GMAT, too boring yeh
Good Material for Verbal is
CR: CR critical reasoning Bible
SC:
Manhattan GMAT SC Guide
RC: Manhattan/Aristotle Guide
Start with quant, learn the concepts tested on GMAT
After learning, practice your learned section with times practice
You can also take quizzes to meet the pace of GMAT
1 Month for learning concepts and 15 days of practice and same with the verbal
when completed all the concepts learning and handsome practice
Take full lenght CATs, know your estimated score
Analyze the result with Correct/incorrect questions, pacing analysis
trace your mistakes and learn from them, make an
error log to know
your mistakes in the previously attempted questions
For Online Course
E-GMAT is a good for verbal
you can also consider
Magoosh because i am Impressed by
Micke of
Magoosh, he is truly know each and everything
And also Rich of EmpowerGMAT
Best CATs
1. Official GMAC (50+50$)
2.
Manhattan GMAT (49$)
3. GMAT Club Quant CATs (80$)
I figure I am unable to do 8 hrs study each day; 2-3 hours in weekday and
4-6 hours in weekend are doable. No test date being setup yet.You truly have no need to study 8 Hours/day
3 Hours/day is good Strategy
Good Luck
