I often get confused while trying to negate options for assumption questions. I generally boil down to 2-3 options and try negation to select the right one. Wanted help with: A. Opposite words: (enlisting a few here- kindly let me know if they are correct and add more that one may come across in the GMAT)

Hi. Just because the system doesn’t work with one of the questions, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad system.
I would just point out and say some thing I’ve learned over the years and basically the fact is, patterns and systems and convenient rules don’t work well with hard GMAT questions. That’s what makes them hard
Similarly if you use the approach of answering the question in your own words before attempting a critical reasoning question, it works really well on easy and medium questions. However it will not work on hard critical reasoning questions most of the time.
Anyway, that’s why Hard GMAT Questions are hard 🤷♂️ It’s a very unsatisfying answer but there is another side to this answer. You will need a different approach for hard questions which most likely will be sort of like brute force combined with gut feel and subtle hints. That’s the best recommendation I have for you for the hard critical reasoning questions. They just don’t fit the patterns.
PS. But if this question is hard for you, you should print it out and save it and review it every few days until you know every single word and every single nuance of this question. Imagine a similar question would show up on your GMAT would not it be nice to be able to answer it?

B. DOUBLE NEGATION! It is difficult to negate when there are 2 quantifiers i the sentence. Eg- https://gmatclub.com/forum/linguist-in- ... 94366.html Option D - How (all) people move when discussing the future correlates to some extent with how they mentally visualize time.
I got confused while I tried to negate this. Is there a better/simpler way than negation?
All → Not all Everything → Not everything Always → Not always Some → None Most → Half or less than half Majority → Half or less than half Many → Not many Less than/Fewer than → Equal to or more than Element A → Not element A None → Some Never → Sometimes
(D) How people move when discussing the future correlates to some extent with how they mentally visualize time.
'some' becomes 'none'
Negated (D) How people move when discussing the future does not correlate with how they mentally visualize time.
If you are trying to negate an answer choice but are unsure whether you've done it correctly, posting it in the specific gmatclub link for that question may be helpful. People may be able to comment or explain where it may be a bit off.
Thanks KarishmaB for this beautiful list. Any idea where can I get the whole list of negated certain words used on GMAT. Please tag here.
Thanks already.

These are the most common ones. Check out some content on logic. That will teach you how to identify the negation in any given situation.
